EBACE2017 Inspires the Next Generation of Industry Leaders

EBACE2017 included numerous events and opportunities for young business aviation professionals (YoPros) just getting into the industry, including a session focusing on generational gaps and what younger employees can offer to business aviation companies. “Together we can reach new goals,” said YoPro event attendee Maria Gonzales of McAffee & Taft. “The older community also has a lot to give us as mentors. If the older generation can be open to what the younger generation can offer, I think that would create new business opportunities.”

EBACE TV: EBACE2017 Static Display Showcases the Latest Aircraft

There are 56 aircraft on the EBACE2017 static display at Geneva International Airport – with some making their European debut. For many, the best part of the static display is the opportunity to compare models in one location. “It’s really nice that we get the opportunity to get inside and have a look at the aircraft,” said AJ Akram, Indochina Aviation Centre/Myanmar Aviation Centre. The static display is open until 14:00 24 May.

EBAA Works With Members to Promote Value of Business Aviation Industry

At EBACE2017, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) kicked off its communications initiative to assist its members in spreading the word about the value of the business aviation industry. Taunya Renson-Martin, communications advisor for EBAA, said the purpose is to speak with one voice about the importance of business aviation and allow members to be pro-active communicators. “We need to reclaim our narrative,” she said.

Business Aircraft Arrive for EBACE2017

The EBACE2017 static display features nearly 60 aircraft, including used and pre-owned aircraft. “The static display at EBACE2017 will be even more impressive than previous years,” said Joe Hart, NBAA’s director of static displays. There is no other European venue which allows business aviation professionals or end-users to see so many aircraft types in one place, comparing different models side-by-side.

Bertrand Piccard, chairman of the Solar Impulse project, adventurer, pioneer and the first to fly a solar-powered aircraft around the world, will motivate attendees at the 22 May Opening General Session of EBACE2017. “I love the history of aviation, because aviation is an inspiration…aviation has changed the world,” he said, adding he’s excited to share his message about “the spirit of innovation [and] the spirit of pioneering that we need to keep alive in the world of aviation.”
