François Huet

SESAR Joint Undertaking

François Huet began his career as head of the cabinet office of the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC), after which he moved to Eurocontrol’s general secretariat, where he worked on the revision of the Eurocontrol Convention and its provisional implementation. He also acted as secretary of the enlarged committee for route charges and the audit board.

In 2008, Huet was seconded to the European Commission to join the team working on the Single European Sky second package (SES II) both as desk officer in charge of the performance scheme and charging regulations, and as secretary to the Single Sky Committee. On his return to Eurocontrol, he joined the performance review unit for the launch of the second performance reference period.

In 2013, Huet joined the SESAR Joint Undertaking (SESAR JU) team for the preparation of the proposal of the Pilot Common Project and, since October 2014, as master plan officer and program manager. In this position, he acted as program manager for two master plan update campaigns in 2015 and in 2018-2019. He was also project coordinator of the SESAR JU proposal on the content of a second common project delivered in February 2018 and in charge of the regulatory part of the Airspace Architecture Study delivered in February 2019.

Huet holds a master’s of science degree in international law and public administration from the Dijon Law University and Lyon’s Regional Institute of Administration, and also received training at the London School of Economics.
