Innovation, Future of Air Travel in Focus at EBACE

Geneva, Switzerland, 20 May 2019 – This week, the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) will showcase the breadth of investment and innovation driving the industry into the future. Emerging technologies such as electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) will be discussed and on display across Geneva Airport and Palexpo’s exhibit halls, from 21-23 May.

Leading off, the show’s Opening Keynote Session will feature Florian Reuter, CEO of Volocopter, a European company that has developed a prototype eVTOL air taxi.

Additional Innovation Zone sessions this week will explore blockchain, artificial intelligence and sustainable alternative jet fuels (SAJF). The industry’s future will also be in focus at EBACE’s annual Careers in Business Aviation Day and an interactive “YoPro” session featuring European aviation’s leading Young Professionals.

Photo ops: Several eVTOL aircraft and cutting-edge technology concepts will be displayed adjacent to the Innovation Zone, in the new Innovation Pavilion.
