Marian-Jean Marinescu

Member of the European Parliament

Member of the European Parliament since January 2007, Marian-Jean Marinescu is currently the coordinator of the EPP Group for transport policies and Chair of the European Parliament’s Sky and Space Intergroup 2019 – 2024.

During the past legislatures, MEP Marinescu was vice-president of the PPE Group, chair of the PPE Working Group “Budgets and Structural Policies,” coordinator of the PPE working group for the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and member of the Board of Directors of the European Agency for Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GSA).

In 2017, MEP Marinescu received the annual award of The European Business Aviation Award (EBAA).

In 2020, MEP Marinescu received the annual award MEP of the Year for Transport and Tourism category.
