Pilatus

Markus Bucher has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pilatus Aircraft Ltd since 2013. Pilatus is the only Swiss company that develops, builds and sells aircraft on all continents.

Bucher has been with Pilatus for over 30 years and is now responsible for more than 2,000 employees worldwide. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Bucher spent two years as Chief Operating Officer with overall responsibility for manufacturing, assembly, aircraft maintenance, logistics and information technology. Bucher was appointed to the Executive Board in 2008, where he was responsible for aircraft assembly and maintenance.

Bucher joined Pilatus in 1986 after completing his apprenticeship and has subsequently held a number of key positions within the company. In his role as head of customer support for trainer aircraft, his innovative approach to aftermarket support successfully and sustainably transformed the business model for service contracts.
