Michael AmalfitanoMichael Amalfitano is the President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, leading the company’s global business with annual revenues of $1.5 billion and an active fleet of more than 1,400 aircraft with over 800 customers worldwide. A long-standing industry veteran, Amalfitano brings 40+ years of experience in executive leadership, financial management, corporate governance, strategic planning, global sales originations, product development, market strategy, portfolio management, marketing, communications, aircraft valuation, asset management, and aircraft leasing and financing for the business aviation industry. Amalfitano is a voting member of the Embraer SA Executive Leadership Management Board.

Prior to joining Embraer, Amalfitano served as Executive Vice President, Senior Managing Director of Business Aviation at Stonebriar Commercial Finance. Amalfitano also led as Managing Director and Executive Head of Global Corporate Aircraft Finance at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 22 years, following a decade-long tenure in management at GE Capital.

Amalfitano is Vice Chairman of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and currently serves on their Finance, Investment and Strategic Committees, following his previous role as Chairman of the Communications Committee. He is actively engaged in the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) as a member of their board of directors. He also serves as Vice Chair of their Advisory Council, as well as a member on their Audit Committee, Joint Task Force Committee and Leadership Council. In addition, Amalfitano is the OEM President member of the board of directors of the International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA), also serving on their Marketing Committee, and is an active member of the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA).

Past associations include the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA), the National Aircraft Finance Association (NAFA) and Helicopter Association International (HAI). Amalfitano also holds the distinction of being the former two-term President of NAFA and of being the former Chairman of the Associate Members Advisory Council for IADA.

Amalfitano graduated with a B.A. in Economics and a Master’s in Financial Management from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. He has written numerous articles for aviation industry publications and is an active speaker and panelist at business aviation seminars, forums, podcasts, webinars and thought leadership conferences throughout the industry.
