COVID-19 Considerations for Exhibitors

Updated 21 July 2020

EBAA and NBAA continue to plan for the 2021 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2021) with an overriding focus on the health and safety of all participants.

EBACE is scheduled for 18 to 20 May, in Geneva, Switzerland with a full slate of exhibiting companies having confirmed their plans for participation in our event.

In preparation for the show, event organizers will be in close contact with all relevant authorities in medicine and government, as well as leaders at Palexpo and the Geneva International Airport. With guidance from these and other organizations, both associations will apply the highest standards of sanitation and prevention to ground transportation, social gatherings, exhibit hall and meeting rooms, food preparation and other aspects of the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is EBAA and NBAA going forward with EBACE2021?

Yes. EBAA and NBAA are currently working with the business aviation community, Palexpo, Geneva International Airport and relevant authorities in medicine and government to produce a safe, highly valued show for the industry on 18-20 May 2021 in Geneva, Switzerland.

What measures are being taken to ensure the health and safety of attendees and exhibitors at EBACE2021?

EBAA and NBAA are partnering with all relevant medical and government authorities to understand the full range of necessary safety measures to ensure attendees and exhibitors enjoy a safe show. This includes a review of all activities surrounding the exhibit stands and the aircraft displays. The full list of safety measures is being developed, but may include the following:

  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of common surfaces
  • Creating space for social distancing in meeting rooms, the expo hall, registration area, restrooms and transportation
  • Special consideration for food preparation and service
  • Creating a process for safely entering aircraft on display

The complete list of updated health and safety procedures will be published as the show dates approach.

Will I have to wear a face mask at EBACE?

It is likely that EBACE attendees and exhibitors will be asked to participate in many new safety protocols. These will likely include: wearing face masks; practicing social distancing by using one-way aisles; new boarding procedures for aircraft on display; and changes in seating for keynotes, meeting rooms and food areas. Additional details will be provided in the months leading up to the event.

If we cancel and or downsize our exhibit, can we get a refund?

EBAA and NBAA are currently planning a successful EBACE2021, while working with government and medical experts to inform ongoing decisions. If it becomes necessary to cancel EBACE, we will offer refunds in accordance with the EBACE exhibit contract. No other refunds will be provided for cancellations or reductions in space.

How can I ask other questions about the impact of COVID-19 on EBACE?
