Charles Etter

Staff Scientist/Technical Fellow, Gulfstream Aerospace Company

Charles Etter is currently employed at Gulfstream Aerospace Company as a Staff Scientist/Technical Fellow with responsibility for Environmental Strategy & Regulatory Affairs.

Etter came to Gulfstream in 1996 and has over 30 years of experience in the aerospace business. A majority of his career has been focused on environmental topics, such as aircraft noise, emissions and sustainable aviation fuel.

As a Technical Fellow he is recognized for technical knowledge, innovation, consultation, and leadership achievements. Etter has served as chairman of Gulfstream’s Environmental Strategy Team since 2019.

He also serves as a technical advisor to the International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industry Association (ICCAIA) and International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) on environmental topics. In this role, he works with industry representatives and regulators to develop new noise and emission aircraft standards at the international level.

Etter has also worked closely with renewable fuel experts since 2008 and has been instrumental in bringing sustainable aviation fuel to Gulfstream.
