Vanessa Hicter

Senior Forecaster, EUROCONTROL

Vanessa Hicter is a Senior Forecaster at EUROCONTROL, the pan-European, civil-military organization dedicated to supporting European aviation. She is part of the Forecasting Department that works with stakeholders to produce a shared forecast of future network traffic. This helps planners understand and manage risks, identify bottlenecks and anticipate the needs of airspace users. She is involved in various publications, including the 7-year European traffic forecasts.

Hicter joined EUROCONTROL in 2008, as a Senior Economist in the Pan-European Single Sky Directorate, developing complex cost and benefit analysis to support the deployment of new concepts and technologies.

Prior to joining EUROCONTROL, Hicter worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. She holds a M.A. with honours from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Belgium) and a M.S. from Tufts University (USA).
