EBACE2023 Partners With 4AIR For Carbon Credits to Cover Travel, Hotel and Shuttle Emissions

24 May 2023

Travel and housing for the 2023 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2023) will be made carbon-neutral, thanks to a partnership with 4AIR, a leader in aviation sustainability solutions.

For the second year in a row, event organizers NBAA and EBAA have partnered with 4AIR to provide carbon credits to offset the carbon dioxide emissions from attendee travel to and from the event. Attendee carbon emissions from 22 hotels and shuttle buses used for EBAC2023E also will be offset.

“Business aviation is deeply committed to climate action, and we’re thrilled to make EBACE carbon neutral with 4AIR’s help,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “Sustainability is woven into every part of EBACE2023 – from this initiative to the leaders addressing the show, to the latest technologies business aviation is creating. It’s all part of our push to usher in the next wave of aviation – one that is safer, more efficient and better equipped to contribute to the health and safety of our planet.”

4AIR offers turnkey programs to address voluntary and regulatory sustainability goals, using a verifiable path to achieve meaningful aircraft emissions counteraction and reduction using carbon offsets and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Carbon credits through 4AIR are verified by leading international registries. SAF use is documented and traced to validate the sustainability benefits and confirm the legal ownership of the reduction and prevent double counting. Learn more about 4AIR.

“EBACE brings together aviation leaders across the industry from all regions in the world. As sustainability is a key theme of the conference, it is important that we offset the impact of travel to and from the conference and demonstrate offsetting as a first step,” said Kennedy Ricci, 4AIR’s president.
