Dan Sloat

Dan Sloat is Founder & President of the Advanced Air Mobility Institute, an international nonprofit research center dedicated to educating and advocating for the broadest public benefit. He is a global top 20 AAM industry leader according to eVTOL Insights Powerbook 2024. Previously, Sloat led an American vertiport company as CEO. As a United States Air Force Captain, he was responsible for orchestrating 13,000 drones during Operation Enduring Freedom. After his service commitment, Sloat earned a Masters in Economics, a Masters in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor. He lends his expertise to the Australian National Community of Practice for UAS and AAM Research. Sloat is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and sits on the World Economic Forum AVIATE committee to advise on the future of autonomous flight.
