Gregoire James
Commercial Director, International Aviation Waste Management Association (IAWMA)
Gregoire James founded IAWMA after completing U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Research Board (TRB) funded research in the recovery and recycling of single-use items in the aviation industry. The research titled Recovering International Recyclables from In-Flight Service (2020) and published by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, pointed to the need for a multi-stakeholder approach to solving the systemic gaps in handling waste in the aviation industry.
As IAWMA Commercial Director, James provides the IAWMA with market intelligence by supporting its advocacy and standards development programs.
Before his role at the IAWMA, James served as the Founder and President of GeneraCycle, Inc., a privately held company providing program development for waste recovery efforts.
