Kurt Edwards

Director General, IBAC

Kurt Edwards is Director General of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) with responsibility for leading IBAC’s unique position as the voice for business aviation at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the UN specialized agency for aviation matters based in Montreal, Canada. Edwards joined IBAC in 2012 and oversees its increasing outreach to industry, greater engagement with ICAO, and growth of IBAC’s codes of best safety practices for business aircraft operators and ground handlers. Prior to IBAC, Mr. Edwards held various senior-level positions in the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) responsible for liaison with European authorities and for global environmental matters.
