Sustainability Officer, Flying Group
Sus Dierckx completed an LL.M. degree at the University of Hasselt in 2020, followed by a Master’s in Business Management from Vlerick Business School in 2021.
Aviation has been an ever-present aspect throughout his life, and following his studies, he seized the chance to embark on his professional journey with Flying Group as a commercial executive. As the years progressed, he honed his expertise, particularly emphasizing sustainability, which ultimately led to the role of sustainability officer.
In his capacity as sustainability officer, Dierckx assumes a pivotal role in driving the implementation of the S.T.A.R.S. program, a cornerstone initiative aimed at enhancing sustainability practices within business aviation. Moreover, he spearheads the ambitious EVTOL project, a groundbreaking endeavor poised to revolutionize the aviation industry by introducing eco-friendly and innovative flight solutions.
Beyond these initiatives, Dierckx is tasked with the ongoing mission of future-proofing Flying Group, ensuring that the company remains adaptable and resilient in the face of evolving industry dynamics and global challenges. Through strategic foresight and a commitment to sustainability, Dierckx endeavors to position Flying Group as a leader in responsible aviation practices, setting a benchmark for the industry as a whole.
In his free time Dierckx enjoys gliding and is currently working on his PPL.
