Texas Company Comes to EBACE to Maintain Relationships With European Completion Centers

26 May 2016

“This industry changes so quickly that you have to stay in front of everything, and in front of your customers,” said Christopher Donoho, director of business development for Signature Plating, who’s exhibited at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) for the last three years. “It’s about showing that you’re relevant.”

Based in San Antonio, TX, with about 60 employees, Signature manufactures fine metal plating for aircraft interiors, everything from seatbelts and handrails to galley fixtures and entire sinks. They supply aircraft completion centers such as Comlux, Associated Air Center and Gulfstream.

Donoho’s father founded the company 14 years ago, and the family-owned business has been exhibiting at NBAA’s U.S.-based show “since the beginning.” Three year ago, they made a strategic decision to come to EBACE.

“It’s a really good marketing opportunity, especially with some of the larger completion centers that are hard to get into,” said Donoho.

Before arriving in Geneva, Signature sets up appointments with leading European completion shops, such as AMAC Aerospace and Farnborough Interiors.

“It costs a lot to travel overseas to visit customers, but you can come here and meet everyone all at once,” said Donoho. “That’s really convenient for us, as a small to medium business. It’s definitely worth the investment.”
