Video: EBACE2016 Wraps Up on a High Note EBACE2016 ended 26 May, and by all accounts the show was a strong one. “By the numbers this has been an enormously successful EBACE,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen, “Our static display is completely sold out, the exhibit footprint is our largest ever, we have over 450 exhibitors and we have over 400 reporters covering over 20 press conferences.” EBAA CEO Fabio Gamba agreed, “You can really feel that people are here to do business. They are actually looking at the show as the premier place to do business.” EBACE returns to Geneva, Switzerland next year from 22 to 24 May. View the video. EBACE2016 Session Focuses on the Zika Virus and Business Aviation The Zika virus has spread to countries that are expecting heavy flight activity this year, especially Brazil, Doug Carr, NBAA’s vice president of regulatory and international affairs, said at EBACE2016. “And a number of countries have put special procedures in place that affect business aviation,” he added. At a pop-up education session at EBACE2016, Carr and industry experts focused on what regions, health risks and quarantine procedures business aircraft operators should prepare for.
