EBACE2022 Health & Safety Information

The health and safety of all participants is the top priority for EBAA and NBAA as preparations continue for EBACE to return as an in-person event 23-25 May 2022 in Geneva. This page will be updated with the latest information and requirements, which are subject to change based on evolving regulations and guidance.

 

Switzerland Entry Requirements

As of 2 May 2022, all COVID-19-related restrictions for entry into Switzerland have been lifted and the usual rules for entering Switzerland apply. Review the latest information from the State Secretariat for Migration.

 

Face Coverings

Masks are not required at EBACE2022. However, guidance from the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health states that masks can help protect the wearer and others from COVID-19.

COVID-19 Testing Availability

EBACE will offer on-site testing for those who require a test prior to onward travel or would like to take precautions during the show. These tests will be administered by two nurses from a ​​mobile unit of the Swiss Medical Service.

Testing is available 23 May to 26 May 09:00 to 17:00 and is located in Congress Centre Room 4.

The cost of the antigen tests will be covered by the Swiss Confederation and therefore at no cost to attendees and exhibitors. PCR tests will be offered at a special rate of CHF 110.

COVID-19 Testing FAQs

What documentation is required to obtain a COVID-19 test?

A photo ID is required. Passports are recommended. An email address must be provided to receive test results.

What forms of payment are accepted for PCR tests?

Credit card payment is required for PCR tests. Antigen tests are provided free of charge.

How long will the testing process take?

The registration and testing process should take only a few minutes, unless there is excessive demand. The Swiss Medical Service reports that they can test up to 30 patients an hour. Administrative staff will be available to expedite the registration process.

How long does it take to get the test results?

Results for antigen tests are available in 30 minutes. For PCR tests, results are available in 24 hours. For an additional 50 CHF, you can receive expedited PCR test results in 6 hours.

How will I receive test results?

Test results are sent via email.

 

Important COVID-19 Information

COVID-19, a highly infectious disease caused by the novel coronavirus, is currently classified as a pandemic by public health authorities. It is associated with severe symptoms including acute respiratory issues, severe damage to lungs and other organs and death. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, and individuals over age 65 and people of any age who have certain underlying medical conditions are at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. COVID-19 is not fully understood at this time, and understanding of the symptoms, risks and spread of the disease may change over time. Although EBACE management will take all reasonable safety precautions to protect the health of participants, because thousands of attendees are expected, EBACE cannot guarantee that participants will not be exposed to COVID-19 during attendance at the event.

 

COVID-19 Liability Waiver/Assumption of Risk

All participants at EBACE2022 acknowledge that their participation is completely voluntary and that they understand the dangers of COVID-19 and the risks of exposure described above. All participants further acknowledge that they assume all risks associated with COVID-19 in connection with attendance at EBACE2022, including risks to their own health and the health of others with whom they may come in contact during or after EBACE2022 (“Assumed Risks”). Additionally, all participants at EBACE2022 agree, on behalf of themselves, their heirs and assigns, and anyone who might assert a claim on their behalf, to release, indemnify and hold harmless EBACE LLC, EBAA, NBAA, the EBACE2022 venues, EBACE partners and their respective owners, directors, officers, employees, representatives, heirs and assigns from any and all liability, claims or causes of action that may be released under applicable law arising from or relating to the Assumed Risks. This release includes any claims for personal injury, disease, death, property loss or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and any right to seek damages.
