Maya Ghazal fled war in her home country of Syria in 2015. With determination, hope and resilience she started a new life in the UK and she recently graduated university in London with a degree in aviation engineering.  Ghazal has also fulfilled her dream of becoming the first female Syrian refugee pilot. She is a fierce advocate for refugee rights, particularly education, and through sharing her own story she inspires others to smash stereotypes, she offers solutions to better understand refugees, and she makes the compelling case for why we should invest in the limitless potential of those forcibly displaced.
