EBACE to Continue at Geneva’s Palexpo Through 2021

Washington, DC, 17 March 2016 – Officials with the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), Palexpo SA and Geneva International Airport have welcomed a new agreement, signed today by all four parties, to continue to hold the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) at the Palexpo convention center, and on Geneva Airport in Geneva, Switzerland, for another five years.

The agreement ensures that EBACE will remain at Palexpo, and on the airport, from 2017 to 2021. The annual event has taken place at the Geneva convention center since 2001, and will be held there this year from 24 to 26 May.

“We look forward to building on our partnership with Palexpo over the next five years,” said Fabio Gamba, CEO of EBAA. “Since its launch, EBACE has shown a steady increase in the number of exhibitors and delegates who have joined the event, and we expect that trend to continue in the coming years. We are confident that Palexpo offers the kinds of facilities that will continue to make this event a success, given its strategic location next to Geneva International Airport, which helps to ease access to the static display of aircraft.”

Modern and spacious, Palexpo is conveniently located 10 minutes from the center of Geneva, and is adjacent to the EBACE static display of aircraft at Geneva International Airport, as well as to a railway station and a motorway. EBACE is Europe’s biggest business aviation event of the year, drawing 13,000 aviation professionals from around the world. It is a place where new aircraft and business aviation products and services are introduced.

“With our partner EBAA, we look forward to hosting EBACE at Palexpo for many more years to come,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “Under our previous agreement, Palexpo has provided this important event a great venue for the past decade and a half. This new five-year agreement will provide more planning certainty going forward for exhibitors, attendees and organizers alike.”

Palexpo Managing Director Claude Membrez, who traveled to Washington, DC to meet with Bolen following the signing of the agreement, said, “We at Palexpo have always welcomed EBACE, and the organizers, NBAA and EBAA. We are delighted that our convention center will continue to be the venue for the show in the years to come.”

EBACE2016 will include more than 500 exhibitors, a static display of almost 60 business aircraft, and education sessions on operating safely and efficiently.
