EBACE2017 Safety Workshop to Highlight Lessons Learned from Recent Aviation Accident
Lessons learned from past aviation accidents, such as the November 2015 crash of a Hawker 700 in Akron, OH, will for the first time serve as the basis of discussions focusing on human performance and other key lessons at the EBACE2017 Safety Workshop, taking place 24 May. The one-day workshop also will include a safety review from representatives of European and U.S. agencies, as well as a discussion of ground operations-related safety challenges by the International Business Aviation Council. Video: Solar Impulse Chair Bertrand Piccard Delivers Welcome Message to EBACE2017 Attendees
Bertrand Piccard, chairman of the Solar Impulse project, adventurer, pioneer and the first to fly a solar-powered aircraft around the world, will motivate attendees at the 22 May Opening General Session of EBACE2017. “I love the history of aviation, because aviation is an inspiration… aviation has changed the world,” he said, adding he’s excited to share with attendees his message about “the spirit of innovation [and] the spirit of pioneering that we need to keep alive in the world of aviation.” View the video.
