AIDAA
The Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIDAA) began in 1920 and celebrated a century of life in 2020. Among the founders was Gen. Maurizio Mario Moris, defined as ‘the driving flame of Italian Aeronautics’ and the illustrious mathematician Prof. Vito Volterra. The purpose of the association is to promote and disseminate studies and research into all branches of aeronautical and astronautical science and technology and their applications.
The AIDAA plays an important role on the national and international scene. The AIDAA National Congress is the most widely known of its activities and is an opportunity for all Italian components, civil and military, university research institutions and industry. Much of the scientific research in the field of aerospace technology is illustrated in the memoranda that delegates present at congresses, thus giving an overview of the institutional and industrial contribution of the Italian aerospace sector.
The AIDAA has its own scientific journal “Aerotecnica Missili e Spazio”, which is also appreciated at an international level. AIDAA’s next activities include the organization of technical and scientific training courses on digital platforms. The next National Congress of the AIDAA will take place at the University of Padua from 4 to 7 September 2023.
