NBAA’s Ed Bolen Takes a Spin in a Solar Plane Simulator

Raphaël Domjan, founder and pilot of the SolarStratos solar powered airplane, gave NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen high marks for his performance in the aircraft’s flight simulator at EBACE2023. Domjan plans to fly an actual SolarStratos to the edge of space, to become the first person to fly to the stratosphere in a plane powered by the sun.

EBAA Chairman Juergen Wiese and EBAA EU Affairs Manager Mate Bajtay announce the association’s signing of the United for Wildlife Buckingham Palace Declaration, which took place at the 2023 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2023). The declaration in part aims to prevent traffickers from using business aviation for the purpose of illegally transporting endangered species.
