Gian Andrea Bandieri
EASA, Section Manager – Cybersecurity in Aviation & Emerging Risks
Gian Andrea Bandieri is responsible for the EASA team dealing with cybersecurity in aviation, which includes rulemaking, information sharing, threat identification, capacity building and research.
He joined EASA in 2007 as standardization team leader in airworthiness, later moving to coordination and cross-domain issues including safety management and in risk-based oversight.
Bandieri started in aviation in 1992 with the Italian CAA as an airworthiness inspector.
He holds a master’s in aeronautical engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a master’s in aviation law from the University of Modena.
