Johan Glantz

Johan Glantz, FRAeS, has been Senior Manager Safety and Regulatory Affairs at European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) since 2018. He currently represents business aviation at various EASA advisory bodies on both a strategic and technical/operational level.

Glantz retired from an airline career in 2017 as a training and check captain. He has held positions as simulator instructor, examiner, line training and check captain, as well as company accident investigator and emergency response team member. He currently holds an FI MEP/IR and occasionally serves as an instructor.

Prior to commercial flying, Glantz was a career officer with the Royal Swedish Navy, serving both on surface warfare ships and anti-submarine helicopters.

Before joining EBAA, Glantz held positions as Executive Board Member Technical Affairs at the European Cockpit Association and chaired the Swedish Flight Safety Committee.

Glantz studied in aviation aafety at USC Viterbi Los Angeles, air safety management at City University London and human factors/CRM at University West, Sweden.
