Julie Black

Julie Black has been in the aviation industry for more than 20 years, starting her aviation career as a graduate in the marketing department of London City Airport. Enthralled by the buzz of the airport, she worked with the local business community and airlines to identify, establish and launch new routes.

Having found her love for aviation, Black moved to Biggin Hill, managing the airport’s own Executive Handling business, as well as marketing and PR, also alongside working with the RAF to establish the Northolt Jet Centre as a sister business.

Her career took a new direction into broking when Black joined Chapman Freeborn, where in time she took the reins of the UK VIP/Executive team, overseeing a wide range of charter projects, including head of state flights and global music tours for nearly 15 years.

For the last six years, Black has been the Head of the UK based Executive Charter team at Hunt & Palmer, overseeing a busy team of brokers with an enviable blue chip corporate and VIP client roster on diverse charter missions all over the world.

Additionally, Black joined The Air Charter Association Council (now Board) in 2015 and in 2019 was elected as Deputy Chair for the association in its 70th year and was a key member of the team that was responsible for the rebranding and modernization of the association. Key ACA projects also included the growth of the Air Charter Expo + Conference (ACE), as well as co-authoring and developing the training curriculum for the ACA Broker Qualification, a key initiative in setting industry standards.
