Susie Wolff

Managing Director, F1 Academy

Susie Wolff

Former professional racing driver, Susie Wolff, is a motorsport executive and entrepreneur who has spent more than 20 years at the forefront of gender diversity and representation internationally.

At the 2014 British Grand Prix, she made history by becoming the first woman to take part in a Formula One race weekend in 22 years by driving for 16-time World Champions Williams Racing.

Despite retiring from professional competition in 2015, Wolff continued to be the driving force of change by founding Dare To Be Different – a mission to inspire the next generation and increase female participation in all levels of motorsport.

In 2018, Wolff took her first steps into management and ownership as Team Principal and shareholder of Venturi Racing in Formula E. After building the series’ most gender-diverse team, she became the marque’s Chief Executive Officer and secured two vice World Championship titles before leaving in 2022.

Now, as the Managing Director of the all-female driver category, F1 Academy, Wolff will continue to inspire the next generation of female talent by creating opportunities and improving accessibility.

For her services and contribution to women in sport, Wolff was awarded an MBE in 2017 and received an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Edinburgh and continues to be an inspirational and role model for women across the world.
