EBACE2023 Opening Keynote: Embrace Diversity to Drive Success, Sustainability

OEMs Share Perspectives on Decarbonizing Business Aviation

Leaders of six major business aircraft OEMs met on stage at EBACE2023 to discuss efforts to decarbonize the industry and work toward the goal of net-zero carbon emissions from business aviation by 2050. “Business aviation has always been at the forefront of innovation and technology,” said EBAA Chair Juergen Wiese. “We must make sure we remain an incubator… and come together collaboratively with the next generation workforce to [make] tangible progress” toward sustainability. AAM Leaders: Air Taxis Are Coming Next Year

Global business aviation leaders taking part in a panel discussion at EBACE2023 shared unique insights surrounding the impending launch of commercial, on-demand advanced air mobility. “We want first of all to bring [AAM] and a sustainable network to everyone,” said Dirk Hoke, CEO of Germany-based Volocopter, adding that its battery-powered eVTOLs are expected to begin service next summer, when the company plans to offer commercial passenger flights during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
